Monocormic P. alba plants developing from anemo chorous seeds upon reaching the age of 5–7 years express a high vegetative motility and form coppice shoot yearly. As a result, a simple individuum becomes a complex one that is a clump forming tree. The tree can occupy the area about 490 m2. P. alba is a highly ecologically patient plant on the iron ore dumps. |
