На основі колекційного фонду рідкісних харчових та інших корисних рослин Донецького ботанічного саду НАН України в результаті тривалого інтродукційного випробування отримано продуктивні, адаптовані до степових умов нові сорти Morus alba L., Lonicera caerulea L., Malus × gloriosa, Ocimum basilicum, Allium ramosum, які занесені до Державного реєстру сортів рослин України і заслуговують широкого впровадження в культуру.
