The work of that scientific department was analyzed during 60 years. The list of organizations that were given its herbarium collection material and names of the most active collectors has been done. There are submitting results of original studies of Native Flora Department research workers for consideration. To put forward the suggestion: the Herbarium will be named S.S. Kharkevich. Розглянуто історію створення Гербарію НБС ім. М.М. Гришка НАН України, який був заснований С.С. Харкевичем в 1948 році. Проаналізовано роботу цього окремого наукового підрозділу за 60 років. Наведені прізвища найбільш активних колекторів гербарної колекції та назви установ, що надали свої матеріали до колекційного фонду, а також результати оригінальних досліджень співробітників відділу природної флори. Запропоновано увічнити ім’я С.С. Харкевича в назві створеного ним Гербарію. M.M.
