Results of perennial activities on the introduction of plant species for energy usage in a department of new cultures are considered. Results of breeding for the creation of a valuable gene pool of highly productive plant species for different directions of use as sources of energy are presented. On the basis of a complex evaluation of biological, ecological characters and productive potential of plants it is established, that a number of introduced species and cultivars created on their basis, are of interest as raw material for phytofuel production. Розглянуто результати багаторічної інтродукційної роботи з мобілізації фітоенергетичних рослин у відділі нових культур НБС ім. М.М. Гришка. Наведено дані щодо селекційної роботи зі створення цінного генофонду високопродуктивних енергетичних рослин різних напрямів використання. На основі комплексної оцінки біологічних, екологічних особливостей та продуктивного потенціалу рослин встановлено, що поряд з традиційними культурами, низка інтродукованих видів та сорти, створені на їх основі, становлять інтерес як сировина для виробництва фітопалива.
