The assumption concerning relationship between life habit of certain species and seed type within genus Calanthe was made. Наведено результати порівняльно-морфологічного дослідження особливостей будови насінної оболонки 12 видів роду Calanthe R. Br. (Epidendroideae: Orchidaceae) за допомогою сканувального електронного мікроскопа. За результатами дослідження ультраструктури спермодерми насіння дослідних видів Calanthe належить до двох типів – Eulophia і Bletia (за класифікацією типів насіння Dressler (1993)). Зроблено припущення щодо існування в межах роду Calanthe певної залежності між розмірами та типом насіння і приналежністю виду до певного екологічного типу. M.M.
