Summary:This paper are devoted to the development of mathematical models that can be used to implement software and software for the systems of technical diagnostics of hydrogenerators in determining mechanical defects of high-power generators based on data obtained from the sensor system installed on the bore of the stator core. Methods for the analytical determination of the distortion parameters of the envelope of the rotor of a hydrogenerator are considered. For the determination, data are used about the values ​​of the air gaps between the rotor and the stator, measured with the aid of an air gap measuring system placed on the bore of the stator core. The mathematical dependences describing the distortions of the envelope of the rotor poles of the hydrogenerator are determined. The use of the method of least squares to determine the center of the rim of the rotor is proposed. It is shown that in this case the influence of the spread of the geometric parameters of the rotor poles on the determination of the center of the rotor rim is reduced. Analytical dependencies for determining the center of the rotor rim are established, provided that the component of the uneven air gap between the stator and the rotor is present and absent, caused by the scatter of geometrical parameters of the rotor poles. Analytically, the parameters of the envelope of the rotor can be used to plot the trajectory (hodograph) of the motion of the center of the rotor and in determining its degree of eccentricity.
