Computer models for the analysis of high-frequency processes in transmission tower and the support insulator strings, as well as different approaches to the modeling of lightning discharge current pulse are discussed. Finally, the lightning surge was analyzed at different parameters of the current pulse which simulates a lightning discharge, and at various points in the line of its application.
