Proceedings of the Institute of Electrodynamics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine| Summary: | The purpose of the study is to assess the economic feasibility of load maneuvering by industrial enterprises to reduce the cost of consumed electricity. To achieve this goal, calculations of the cost of daily electricity consumption and the daily cost of imbalances for an industrial enterprise in Zaporizhzhia were made. The growth of renewable energy generation and the mismatch between the estimated electricity consumption and the actual consumption lead to imbalances and, as a result, additional financial costs to cover them. At the same time, industrial enterprises have consumers who can maneuver their load to level daily electricity consumption diagrams and reduce imbalances. To assess the ability of load maneuvering by industrial enterprises and their individual subdivisions, the article proposes a maneuvering capability coefficient, which characterizes the theoretical ability of an electricity consumer to participate in the leveling of the daily load diagram and reduce electricity imbalances. As a result of the use of consumer-regulators at the enterprise, the daily cost of imbalances decreased by 29%, and the total daily cost of electricity consumption decreased by 1.94%.
