Description
Summary:The paper considers the problem of improving the operational efficiency of hybrid distributed generation networks by enhancing their information and measurement support. It is shown that effective operation of such networks requires reliable, time-coordinated and sufficiently detailed data on distributed generation units, energy storage systems, local loads and the point of common coupling with the external power grid. Based on peer-reviewed scientific literature and relevant IEEE standards, the paper substantiates the feasibility of representing information and measurement support as a multi-level system that includes electrical parameter measurement, data validation, power quality assessment, abnormal event detection and the transfer of aggregated information to a microgrid energy management system (EMS) or a microgrid controller. A structural organization of such a system is proposed, and a set of indicators is defined for assessing its influence on the efficiency of hybrid network operation. Ref. 15, figure, table.
