У статті обгрунтовується необхідність проведення біологічної меліорації ґрунтів. Ефективними її чинниками є поповнення ґрунтів органічною речовиною (за використання гною, компостованих відходів великих міст та птахівничої галузі, післяжнивних і післязбиральних решток, дотримання науково обгрунтованих сівозмін), збільшення площ бобових культур у структурі землекористування для оптимізації забезпечення грунтів азотом, використання мінеральних добрив у межах, що не перевищують фізіологічного оптимуму для культурних рослин, широке впровадження сучасних мікробних препаратів у технології вирощування сільськогосподарських культур.
