Summary:The aim of the paper consists in the development of the method for comparative estimation of electric machines and their series, using critical parameters corrected dependences on generalized linear size. Low reliability of applying existing relations connecting mass-overall size and power indices of electric machines due to the deviation from ideal scaling law in various-power machines has been confirmed. Electric machines electromagnetic and energy parameter dependences on the generalized linear size have been determined. The indices have been found and the criteria for comparison of electric machines and their series have been offered. The choice of the generalized linear size has been grounded. The comparative estimation of electric machines made by famous manufacturers has been carried out. Recommendations for improvement of electric machines parameters have been offered. References 11.
