Summary:The generalized Faraday problem about development of parametric resonance in mechanical system “reservoir on pendulum suspension – liquid with a free surface” is investigated. Here the suspension point performs motion in vertical plane according to given harmonic law. Investigation is done on the basis of the efficient nonlinear multimodal mathematicalmodel describing combined inclination motion of reservoir and oscillations of liquid with free surfaces. It was shown that considering of new factors in comparison with the classical Faraday problem can considerably affects the qualitative picture of development of parametric resonance in the system.
