Restrictions for order of q-monotone approximation of periodic functions
A continuous periodic $q$-monotone function, $q=3,...,$ is constructed for which if it is approximated with $q$-monotone polynomials the Jackson-Stechkin estimate with the modulus of smoothness of order $\ge q+2$ is not valid (in contrast with the approximation without restrictions).
