Проаналізовано поточний стан розвитку вітроенергетики в Україні. Розглянуто переваги та недоліки технологій виробництва електроенергії на базі використання енергії вітру в порівнянні з традиційними технологіями. Визначено умови, за яких вітроенергетика в перспективі зможе отримати помітний розвиток. Оцінено можливі обсяги впровадження об'єктів вітроенергетики з урахуванням необхідних системних резервів до 2010 р.
