System Research in Energy| Zusammenfassung: | The factors determining the need of reducing the consumption of natural gas in economy and social sphere of Ukraine are identified. Large volumes of import from the territory of the state monopolist and avalanche growth of the world prices for this resource are the main of them.A set of priority measures aimed at reduction of gas consumption for 20.8 billion cubic meters starting from 2011 was worked out.If taking into account the results of realization of the specified set of measures and some additional projects the consumption of natural gas in economy and social sphere of Ukraine can be reduced to the level of 32,7 - 36,4 billion cubic meters in the period of 2011 – 2030.These levels of natural gas consumption can be provided by activity of the gas industry due to production of gas from Ukrainian domestic fields and the payments for gas transit to the Central and Western Europe.Implementation of the proposed set of measures would lead to an essential increase in the level of Ukraine's energy security. |
