Description
Summary:The analysis of the state and problems of the recycling of methane on mines of Ukraine is carried out. Directions of the use of a mix of air with methane in the national economy, a reduction of the mine methane release, and the priority directions of the recycling of methane are determined. The expediency of the realization of projects of the joint introduction of recycling and use of methane from coal deposits is substantiated.By methane resources, Ukraine takes the fourth place in the world. Their last estimation makes about 12 trln m3, which exceeds the natural gas stocks by a factor of 3-3.5. Last time, the great attention is paid in Ukraine to the problem of recycling of mine methane, in particular, a number of laws and normative acts which promote the realization of methane power projects were approved.Under conditions of Ukraine, it is possible to begin the recycling of methane with ecological torch installations, boilers, heaters, and dryers at concentrating factories. At a high reliability, the captured mine gas with a concentration of more than 30 % can be supplied to small thermal power stations. For the production of electric power with the use of mine gas, it is possible to use independent power stations and gasifiers. To increase the safety and heat value, natural gas at a concentration of 40 % can be added to mine gas. The most perspective direction of the recycling of substandard mine methane is its dilution to a concentration of 2.5 % in mixes and the direct burning in specially equipped fire chambers. The conclusion is made that, in Ukraine, there are now real preconditions and specific achievements allowing a practical solution of the problem of extraction and recycling of mine methane.
