Fuel supply sectors of the national economy in a market environment are characterized by rapid changes in supply of and demand for different types of fuel, limited domestic production, and a significant increase in the influence of energy safety factors on the ways and the volume of a fuel flow. The well-established technological ties in the economic chains of production, processing, enrichment, and consumption vary as well.The structure of limitations of the production-type model of two fuel supply sectors of the economy is described. The equations describing the sectors ensure the account for the ability to replace and to redirect the necessary volumes of coal products in the production-transport system that has its own mining, conversion, enrichment, and reprocessing of all fossil fuels and realizes their import and export. For a system with insufficient volumes of the domestic production of separate scarce fuels, the problem of determination of the best ways and directions of their replacement by other species, depending on the price situation on the domestic coal market and the world price level, is considered.The results of calculations of the optimal amounts of some grades of coal products redirected from the metallurgical industry to the electric power industry and conversely by the expert data as of the year 2011 and projections for 2012 are presented. The possibility of reverse flows between these branches, depending on the domestic production volumes and the prices on the domestic coal market, is indicated. Паливозабезпечення галузей національної економіки в ринкових умовах характеризується швидкими змінами пропозиції та попиту на різні види палива, обмеженими можливостями власного видобутку, істотним зростанням впливу факторів енергетичної безпеки на напрямки та обсяги надходження палив. Зазнають змін також усталені технологічні зв’язки в економічних ланцюгах їх видобутку, переробки, збагачення та споживання.Описано структуру обмежень моделі виробничого типу системи паливозабезпечення двох галузей економіки країни. Рівняння системи забезпечують врахування можливостей заміщення й перенаправлення необхідних обсягів вугільної продукції у виробничо-транспортній системі, що містить власний виробіток, перетворення, збагачення та переробку всіх видів викопного палива, а також здійснює їх імпортування та експорт. В системі з недостатніми обсягами власного видобутку окремих дефіцитних видів палива розглянуто задачу визначення оптимальних шляхів та напрямків їх заміщення іншими видами в залежності від цінової кон’юнктури внутрішніх ринків вугільної продукції та рівнів цін на світових ринках палива.Наведено результати розрахунків оптимальних обсягів перенаправлення окремих марок вугільної продукції з металургійної галузі в електроенергетику та навпаки за експертними даними 2011 р. та прогнозними оцінками 2012 р. Показано можливість зворотних потоків вугілля між цими галузями в залежності від обсягів власного видобутку та кон’юнктури цін на внутрішньому ринку вугільної продукції.
