System Research in Energy| Zusammenfassung: | Today, Ukraine’s UPS is faced with the real problem to attain the European level of frequency stability. Without solving it, Ukraine’s UPS will lose, in the coming years, the basis for the further normal development of its generating capacity. The present work considers a possibility of achieving the European level of frequency stability by Ukraine’s UPS. The studies have shown that the solution of this task in Ukraine’s UPS is possible only if a new integrated system of automatic control over the load of electrothermal consumers-regulators (ETCRs) will be introduced. The considered principles of the structural building of a new system of automatic control over the systems of ETCRs allow one to solve the important problems concerning the elimination of nocturnal dips of the load. The absence of these dips in the power system will ensure a given minimum load, which is sufficient for the continuous work of all shunting power units of a Heat Power Plant (HPP).The main feature in the creation of a new automatic controllable system of ETCRs is that such system will use a fundamentally new secondary power reserve formed on the basis of modern electrothermal boiler rooms (ETBRs). Namely due to the presence of the automatically controlled power reserve of ETCRs in the power system, it becomes possible to solve a number of urgent problems such as the extension of a service life, the enhancement of the reliability of power units at a HPP, and the attainment of a higher level of stability of the frequency of a HPP.The paper demonstrates the possibility to attain the frequency stability at the European level in a power system with relatively small given power such as Ukraine’s UPS and to determine a promising trend in the construction of new more sophisticated control systems. |
