Description
Summary:The article deals with analyzing the loss volumes dynamics for natural gas in 2001-2010, major petroleum products, such as gasoline, diesel and fuel oil in 2001-2012, coal and peat in 2001-2012, electricity in 2001-2011 as well as for heat in 2005-2010. The components of fuel consumption are given by type, the marginal indices of all fuel losses by their origin are listed, the possible areas of reduction in abnormal quantities of fuel consumption, especially the natural gas, are determined. The share of each kind of loss in its gross consumption in total energy balance of the country in 2005-2010 is determined as well as the share of fuel and energy loss in the total energy resources loss during the same period. The electricity share in total fuel and energy loss is found out to be the largest. The electricity loss value reached 62,8-52,9% in 2005-2010 with a tendency to decrease. The second place in the overall heat loss belongs to heat with its share of 23% in the same period. As to the fuel losses, the natural gas share is the largest. The natural gas loss increased almost twice: 10,2%-20,1%, at a general decrease of the fuel flow into the country. The loss of natural gas at its transportation through the gas distribution networks is determined by two components: the first one depends upon the gas works management while the other is constant and objective. Reducing of all kinds of losses will be possible after implementation of innovative, energy-saving technologies and equipment with higher energy efficiency.
