System Research in Energy| Zusammenfassung: | The article deals with the main technical and economic indicators of the agricultural production development and the greenhouse gases emissions in Ukraine analyzed The sown areas of grain crops and the dynamics of the actual crop production were analyzed along with the dynamics of the productive livestock population in animal breeding, fuel and power resources consumption in agriculture and reduction of anthropogenic impact of the agricultural sector upon the environment in 2000-2010. The sown areas under crops have increased significantly: winter wheat - by 15.4%, barley - 4.4 times, grain maize - 2 times. With the general increase in the volume of grain crops by 1.6 times the winter crops were more significant and developed intensively. Thus, production of winter barley and grain maize increased by more than 3 times, sunflowers - almost by 2 times, canola and soybean - by 11.1 and 26.3 times respectively. The livestock population of cattle at all categories of farms decreased by 52.3% in 2010 if compared with 2000, including a 46.9% decrease of the dairy cows population. Due to the decrease in agricultural production the fuel and power consumption decreased as well. For example, fuel use decreased by 32.9% over the period, including 35.3% of the liquid fuel. The gas-like fuel consumption increased by 71%, while its share in total consumption rises from 2.49 to 6.3%. The fact resulted in a significant decrease in the use of solid fuels (4.2 times), and its share in total consumption - from 0.51% to 0.2%.Power consumption in the agriculture declined by 48.5%. The greenhouse gas emissions dropped significantly as well during this period. For example, carbon dioxide emissions decreased by 31%, the total emissions of methane - by 47.7%, including ones caused by enteric fermentation - by 51.5% and the use of pus - by 39.2%. |
