System Research in Energy| Summary: | The necessity of study of wind power plant (WPP) spatial dispersion influence on the possibility of the automatic frequency and power control (AFPC) in IPS with generators-regulators was proven. The mathematical model, initial conditions and assumptions are presented, permitting to study generation processes at three wind farms in comparison with single wind farm. At that, the mathematical model, in conjunction with specially developed program-information complex (PIC) “Chastota” (“Frequency”), is able to describe arbitrary number of windmills with different technical characteristics. It is found that in the general case the WPP dispersal doesn’t simplify the AFPC system operation, because of the possibility of the different wind mills power peaks overstrike, leading both to increase and decrease of disturbances in the energy system. In other words, parameters of the regulatory process for the dispersed and single WPP practically coincide.Furthermore, WPP influence degree on the power system depends not only on installed capacity of WPP, but on the average wind speed and its maximum derivatives. At that, the AFPC load can increase, despite of more smooth graph generation at wind farms. |
