Zusammenfassung:The application of cooling towers, i. e., apparatus for water cooling by atmospheric air in water-recycling systems provides a significant economy of natural water as compared with once-through systems and prevents thermal pollution of reservoirs. In film-type cooling towers, which are widely applied in power engineering and industry, one of their key elements is the heat-transfer surface, i.e., the sprinkler, which drains the film of cooled water. The cooling efficiency of such towers, depends largely on the ability of sprinklers to transfer heat from water to air.The aim of this work is to propose a new film-type cooling tower, where the high-efficient heat-transfer surface with spherical dimples, found as a result of a complex of experimental investigations is used as the sprinklers. An important feature of the proposed cooling tower as compared to typical film-type apparatus consists of the fact that the sprinklers are arranged in the tower space not vertically, but under a certain angle to the horizont. We have developed a construction diagram of new filmtype cooling tower. We have considered variants of sprinklers layout in blocks and sections of the cooling tower.
