The current situation in Ukraine is analyzed, and recommendations for the effective application of the carbon tax in Ukraine are proposed. The approaches to the determination of carbon tax are developed. Розглянуто різні підходи до державного регулювання викидів парникових газів, які використовуються у світі. Проаналізовано переваги і недоліки кожного підходу у порівнянні з іншими. Наведено огляд досвіду ефективного використання вуглецевого оподаткування як одного з підходів до державного регулювання викидів парникових газів. Проаналізовано поточну ситуацію в Україні і розроблено рекомендації щодо ефективного застосування вуглецевого податку в Україні. Запропоновано підходи до визначення розмірів вуглецевого податку.
