Резюме:The basic principles of creating the complexes of electric heat generators for the control of electric load of regional power systems during their night falls of daily schedules were determined. The needs for maneuvering power of the regional power systems and the IPS of Ukraine as a whole were established. We identified local district heating systems, in which it is possible to install electric heat generators, and estimated their potentials for regulating the load of regional power systems. It was shown that the total maneuverability of complexes of electric heat generators is limited by the average heat load of hot-water supply systems and constitutes 2480 MW.The calculation of technical-and-economic characteristics of the proposed complexes showed that, in order to achieve the total maneuverability of electric heat generators 2480 MW, the required amount of investment is about € 125 million. The weighted average specific investment costs are 50.3 € / kW of installed power. The operation of electric heat generators will result in an additional consumption of 4.9 billion kWh / year of electricity. The thermal energy generated by electric heat generators will replace the heat produced by district heating systems, reducing natural gas consumption by 550 million m3 per year. The weighted average cost of thermal energy produced by the complexes of electric heat generators, even in the absence of payment for auxiliary services, will be less than in the existing heat supply systems. Furthermore, with an auxiliary service cost of € 10 / MW-h, electric heat generators can successfully compete with any traditional heat generators.
