There are specially designed and developed scientific equipment of the complex of ship’s modular research laboratories – Hydroacoustics Laboratories, Marine Geology Laboratory, River Geology Laboratory. The resumption of scientific marine and river cruises is important not only for updating primary empirical data on the water environment of the coastal shelf and inland waterways of Ukraine, and will allow the joint efforts of the scientific community to be directed towards the monitoring of the Ukrainian part of the Black Sea. Стаття присвячена актуальній темі ‒ аналізу сучасних можливостей проведення комплексних експедиційних досліджень у прибережній частині шельфу Чорного моря із застосуванням науково-дослідницького судна "Гідробіолог" Національної академії наук України. Для виконання досліджень спеціально розроблено та створено ряд наукового обладнання для комплексу суднових модульних науково-дослідних лабораторій у складі: лабораторії гідроакустики, лабораторії морської геології, лабораторії річкової геології. Відновлення проведення наукових морських і річкових експедицій важливо не тільки для актуалізації первинних емпіричних даних про водне середовище прибережної частини шельфу та внутрішніх водних шляхів України, воно також дозволить спрямувати спільні зусилля науковців на проведення моніторингу української частини Чорного моря.
