Description
Summary:The article discusses the application of the concept of a digital twin in the field of weather forecasting to create a smart city. A digital twin is a virtual replica of a real object or process that reflects its state in real time. The technologies and methods of creating a digital twin of meteorological conditions for a particular city are analyzed. The importance and prospects of creating a digital twin in meteorological forecastingfor a smart city on a mobile platform are also presented. The paper discusses the design of an application that allows users to provide easy access to up-to-date information on air quality and weather forecasts for different areas of the city, which is becoming especially important due to the growing environmental problems and climate change. It highlights the use of Swift programming languages andthe MapKit and Alamofire frameworks to implement  the application’s functionality, as well as the advantages of the SwiftUI language for rapid development of the front-end. Thus, the digital twin, which reflects the real weather forecasting process, plays a key role in the application, providing users with access to up-to-date weather data and helping them make objective decisions about the impact of climate on health and the environment.Prombles in programming 2023; 3: 40-48
