Summary:The results of experimental and theoretical studies of specularreflection suppression in diffraction of HCN-laser terahertzradiation on InSb grating under surface plasmon-polaritonresonance condition are presented. Dependence of theresonance position and its width is investigated vs. grating depth.The dielectric film deposited on the grating surface is shownto increase the resonance width and shift its maximum awayfrom the Rayleigh point. The resonance diffraction theorypresented agrees well with the experimental results, thus allowingto investigate the influence of problem parameters on theresonance characteristics.
