Резюме:The problems of determining the resonant frequency and theQ-factor of whispering gallery type oscillations in a half-diskdielectric resonator have been considered. The influence of violationsof the conditions of reciprocity, non-dissipative character, symmetry for coupler of the resonator on its reflectioncharacteristic versus frequency are investigated. For mentionedcases, the correctness of using classical methods of measuringthe resonator natural frequency and Q-factor of the resonatorhas been analyzed. To solve this problem, the possibility ofusing a fractionally rational approximation of the resonatorfrequency response was discussed. The realization of the rationalapproximation based on continued fractions is proposedthat allows obtaining stable estimates for evaluating the complexfrequency and Q-factor. The use of this approach hasallowed analyzing the dependence of the natural frequency ofthe half-disk dielectric resonator versus degree of coupling whichis determined by radial location and width of the coupling slot.It has been shown that the difference between the pole andzero frequencies allows estimating the degree of coupling.
