Possibility and prospect of the UWB signal application to radar different media and objects are estimated. Рассматриваются методы анализа сверхширокополосных (СШП) сигналов и процессов. Обсуждаются основные особенности генерации, излучения, приема, распространения, отражения и рассеяния СШП сигналов, а также их основные применения. Демонстрируются особенности распространения СШП сигналов в плазменных средах, в частности, в околоземном и космическом пространствах. Предлагается уточненный вид уравнения дистанционного радиозондирования в случае использования СШП сигналов. Оценивается возможность и перспективность применения СШП сигналов для дистанционного зондирования различных сред и объектов.
