Contradictions which arise when interpreting some phenomena of a rotating continuum in terms of the symmetric mechanics of the continuum are described. The concept of the translational-rotational movement of the continuum in the isotropic space is formulated. The necessity of using the equation of the angular momentum in the continuum mechanics is proved.
