Description
Summary:Using the uniform geometric diffraction theory method, the 3-D diffraction of the vertical halfwave dipole placed on a perfectly conducting plane with a thin rectangular salient screen has been solved asymptotically. Through the authors’ algorithm, the isoamplitude lines of the field orthogonal components were calculated, as well as the field pattern was analyzed for the whole space observed. The antenna gain towards the normal to salient screen and the screen shadow factor were calculated and analyzed vs. screen sizes and its distance to the dipole. It is found that the dipole gain depends more on the screen height, while the shadow factor does more on its width.
