Здійснено оцінку точності методу максимальних втрат на основі емпіричної формули Кезевича. Доведено, що із урахуванням залежності часу максимальних втрат від часу максимуму навантаження (коефіцієнта заповнення графіка навантажень) залежність похибки метода від максимального навантаження є лінійною і не перевищує 9% за будь-якої форми графіка. Отримано узагальнену формулу часу максимальних втрат для будь-якого розрахункового періоду.
