Виконано стислий огляд основних результатів і сучасного стану головних напрямків в області регулювання режимів електроспоживання, яке являється основною альтернативою введенню маневрових потужностей в енергетиці. При величезних наукових наробітках у цій області їхня практична реалізація поки що не вирішує усіх наявних проблем. Головна причина - відсутність стимулів на всіх рівнях. Тому разом із технічними задачами необхідно звернути більшу увагу на розвиток організаційної і нормативно-правової бази.
