Розроблено нову схему електросталеплавильного процесу з термохімічною регенерацією–конверсією природного газу з відпрацьованими газами дугової печі для попереднього нагрівання скрапу. Згідно з термодинамічними розрахунками дана схема забезпечує підвищення теплового ККД печі на 5–6%, економію палива на 21% та зниження емісії СО2 в атмосферу на 9,8%.
