The model and criteria for prospecting, exploration and development of oil and gas fields are theoretically grounded in basement crystalline rocks within sedimentary basins, on shields, in the folded zones of the lithified crust. The main stages of oil and gas exploration are determined on the basis of the abiogenic model of the hydrocarbon systems genesis. В умовах установленої визначеності щодо природи первинних джерел та осередків генерації глибинних вуглеводневих систем, механізмів і способів їхньої вертикальної міграції з мантії Землі в області акумуляції промислових скупчень у земній корі запропоновано схему переходу й утвердження у свідомості геологічної спільноти поглядів від біогенної до абіогенної (коромантійної) моделі формування вуглеводневих систем. Теоретично обґрунтовано модель і критерії прогнозування, пошуку, розвідки та освоєння родовищ нафти й газу в кристалічних породах фундаменту осадових басейнів, на щитах, у складчастих областях літифікованої земної кори. Визначено основні етапи та стадії виконання геологорозвідувальних робіт на нафту й газ на основі абіогенної моделі генезису вуглеводневих систем.
