Two algal complexes – early Viséan and late Viséan were found in all abovementioned areas. It was discovered that the change of the esrly Viséan associations for the late Viséan ones occure almost at the same level. The index-spesies characteristic for the some parts of the sequenses were estаblished. Подано порівняльну характеристику водоростевих комплексів з візейських відкладень Донбасу та інших регіонів кам'яновугільних басейнів Східної Європи. Виявлено, що відкладення всіх досліджуваних територій містять два водорослевих комплекси - нижньо- і верхньовізейський. Встановлено, що зміна ранньовізейських асоціацій водоростей на пізньовізейські відбувається на приблизно одному рівні. Виявлено види-маркери, характерні для окремих частин розрізу.
