Description
Summary: Petroleum potential of subsalt deposits of Dnieper-Donetsk depression was observed. The presence of two different age generations of hydrocarbons is discovered. Generations of hydrocarbons have different supply sources. The type of the original organic matter for the early bitumen generation was composed mainly of association of reef-building algae. Dispersive organic matter was a source of supply for the second generation of “easy oil”. Hydrochemical features of formation waters indicate that interaction of hydrocarbons with subsalt Devonian deposits took place with the active participation of the vertical migration of highly mineralized aqueous solutions. Brings to the bitumen accumulations of methane, under favourable thermobaric conditions (abrupt removing of geostatic and fluid pressures) led to their destabilization and the formation of more mobile, less viscous oil.
