У найбільш повному обсязі ця зона виявлена в розрізах оксфорду – титону Північного Кавказу та Українського Передкарпаття. Пропонується поділити зону на чотири підзони, вік яких уточнено за кореляцією з сучасною Міжнародною шкалою і з даними магнітостратиграфії. Охарактеризований опорний розріз зони на території Передкарпатського прогину України.
