An analytical review of the state and trends in the development of aerospace Earth research in the Institute of Geological Sciences of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine for the period from 1974 to 2018 is presented. The contribution of the Institute’s scientists in this direction is shown. The fundamentals of the creation of the NAS of Ukraine in the Department of Earth Sciences at the initiative of Academician B.E. Paton of the Scientific Council on the problem of the study of natural resources by remote methods (1987) and the State Institution Scientific Centre for Aerospace Research of the Earth (1992) are considered. Data on the structure of the Center are given. The contribution of the staff of the of the Center to the development of aerospace research in Ukraine is analyzed. It is shown that the prospects for the development of the Center’s scientific research are related to the creation of an unified RSE theory based on modern concepts of Earth sciences, the theory of energy-mass transfer in geosystems, advances in systems theory, and the improvement of models of physical processes that occur on the continent and the shelf. Conceptually, the strategy for the development of research in the CASRE of IGN NAS of Ukraine in the future will consist in the implementation of the main provisions of the development of world society defined by the UN decisions on sustainable, conflict-free development of mankind by providing it with food, drinking water and energy resources. |

The contribution of the Institute’s scientists in this direction is shown. The fundamentals of the creation of the NAS of Ukraine in the Department of Earth Sciences at the initiative of Academician B.E. Paton of the Scientific Council on the problem of the study of natural resources by remote methods (1987) and the State Institution Scientific Centre for Aerospace Research of the Earth (1992) are considered. Data on the structure of the Center are given. The contribution of the staff of the of the Center to the development of aerospace research in Ukraine is analyzed. It is shown that the prospects for the development of the Center’s scientific research are related to the creation of an unified RSE theory based on modern concepts of Earth sciences, the theory of energy-mass transfer in geosystems, advances in systems theory, and the improvement of models of physical processes that occur on the continent and the shelf. Conceptually, the strategy for the development of research in the CASRE of IGN NAS of Ukraine in the future will consist in the implementation of the main provisions of the development of world society defined by the UN decisions on sustainable, conflict-free development of mankind by providing it with food, drinking water and energy resources. Представлен аналитический обзор состояния и тенденций развития аэрокосмических исследований Земли в ИГН НАН Украины с 1974 по 2018 г. Показан вклад ученых Института в этом направлении. Рассмотрены основы создания в Отделении наук о Земле НАН Украины по инициативе академика Б. Е. Патона Научного совета по проблеме “Изучение природных ресурсов дистанционными методами” (1987 г.) и Государственного учреждения “Научный центр аэрокосмических исследований Земли ИГН НАН Украины” (1992 г.). Приведены данные о структуре Центра. Сделан анализ вклада сотрудников Центра в развитие аэрокосмических исследований в Украине. Показано, что перспективы развития научных исследований Центра связаны с созданием единой теории дистанционного зондирования Земли, в основу которой положены современные представления наук о Земле, теория энергомассобмена в геосистемах, достижения в теории систем, современные модели физических процессов, которые происходят на материке и шельфе. Концептуально стратегия развития исследований в ЦАКИЗ ИГН НАН Украины в перспективе будет заключаться в реализации основных положений развития мирового общества, определенных решениями ООН по устойчивому безконфликтному развитию человечества путем обеспечения его продовольствием, питьевой водой и энергоресурсами. У стислому огляді досягнень у галузі аерокосмічних досліджень Землі, які проводив ІГН НАН України з 1974 по 2018 р., показано внесок вчених інституту у цьому напрямі. Розглянуто заходи створення у Відділенні наук про Землю АН УРСР за ініціативою академіка Б. Є. Патона Наукової ради з проблеми “Вивчення природних ресурсів дистанційними методами” (1987 р.) та Державної установи “Науковий центр аерокосмічних досліджень Землі ІГН НАН України” (1992 р.). Наведено дані про структуру Центру. Зроблено аналіз внеску співробітників Центру у розвиток аерокосмічних досліджень в Україні. Показано, що перспективи розвитку наукових досліджень Центру пов’язані зі створенням єдиної теорії дистанційного зондування Землі, в основу якої покладені сучасні уявлення наук про Землю, теорія енергомасообміну в геосистемах, досягнення в теорії систем, сучасні моделі фізичних процесів, що відбуваються на суходолі та шельфі. Концептуально стратегія розвитку досліджень в ЦАКДЗ ІГН НАН України в перспективі полягатиме в реалізації основних положень розвитку світового суспільства, визначених рішеннями ООН зі сталого безконфліктного розвитку людства шляхом забезпечення його продовольством, питною водою та енергоресурсами.
