Summary:Non-local properties of the thermal equation of state of a fluid system are observed for the wide range of changes of thermodynamic parameters. Density profiles of a fluid, which are constructed by the non-local equation of state, show that significant changes of system’s density occur in a significant part of the volume in the case of approaching the critical liquid-vapor point. The application of the non-local thermal equation of state as a closure of the equations of classical hydrodynamics allowed us to obtain the spectrum of collective excitations which is similar to the spectrum of excitations in liquid helium.
