Summary:The detonation of an ideal gas flow moving in a magnetic field has been studied theoretically. A modified Hugoniot equation was obtained, which takes the influence of the magnetic field on the detonation process and the detonation wave parameters into account. It was demonstrated that under the influence of a magnetic field, combustion products move away from the detonation front at supersonic speeds. With the increasing magnetic field strength, the velocity of the detonation products also increases. A dependence was obtained that makes it possible to estimate the influence of heat release on the detonation parameters.
