Розглядається застосування асимптотичних методів нелінійної механіки (методу усереднення Боголюбова — Митропольського (БМ)) для побудови наближених розв'язків системи нелінійних рівнянь, що описують хвильові процеси в пружних системах з круговою симетрією. Для ілюстрації методу досліджено динаміку взаємодії двох згинних хвиль в циліндричній оболонці при її власних коливаннях та періодичному збудженні.
