Встановлено необхідні та достатні умови, при яких квазіевклідове кільце збігається з кільцем з елементарною редукцією матриць. Доведено, що напівлокальие кільце Безу є кільцем з елементарною редукцією матриць, а також показано, що 2-евклідова область є кільцем з елементарною редукцією матриць. Сформульовано і доведено критерій існування розв'язку матричного рівняння спеціального типу і записано ці розв'язки в явному вигляді.
