Доведено теорему про оцінку зверху числа характеристичних значень голоморфної та обмеженої в області операторнозначної функції. Ця оцінка аналогічна добре відомій нерівності для нулів голоморфної та обмеженої в області числової функції. З отриманої теореми виведено ряд наслідків, зокрема твердження про оцінку числа характеристичних значень поліноміальних жмутків операторів, що лежать у заданому крузі.
