За допомогою проективної спектральної теореми класичне перетворення Сігала будується як перетворення Фур’є за узагальненими сумісними власними векторами деякої сім'ї польових операторів. Відмічається, що спектральний підхід до перетворення Сігала, котре лежить в основі аналізу гауссовогобілого шуму, дає можливість побудови широкого узагальнення цього перетворення.
