ПРИСВЯЧЕНА 80-РIЧЧЮ ВIД ДНЯ НАРОДЖЕННЯ
ЧЛЕНА-КОРЕСПОНДЕНТА НАН УКРАЇНИ,
ПРОФЕСОРА О. I. СТЕПАНЦЯ (1942 – 2007)
З 6 по 10 червня 2022 року в Луцьку проходила мiжнародна конференцiя „Теорiя наближення
функцiй та її застосування”, присвячена 80-рiччю вiд дня народження члена-кореспондента
НАН України, професора О. I. Степанця (1942 – 2007). Органiзатори конференцiї: Iнститут
математики НАН України та Волинський нацiональний унiверситет iменi Лесi Українки.
Спiвголовами оргкомiтету конференцiї були директор Iнституту математики НАН України
академiк НАН України О. М. Тимоха та ректор Волинського нацiонального унiверситету iменi
Лесi Українки професор А. В. Цьось, а заступниками спiвголiв — професори А. С. Романюк,
А. С. Сердюк, Ю. I. Харкевич та доцент А. А. Федонюк. Члени оргкомiтету: Д. М. Бушев,
С. Б. Гембарська, У. З. Грабова, I. В. Кальчук, I. Р. Ковальчук, О. Г. Мекуш, В. С. Романюк,

У роботi конференцiї взяло участь 68 учасникiв iз Днiпра, Дрогобича, Iвано-Франкiвська,
Кам’янця-Подiльського, Києва, Кривого Рогу, Луцька, Любека (Нiмеччина), Львова, Мерсiна
(Туреччина), Одеси, Полтави, Слов’янська, Тернополя, Ужгорода та iн.
Основнi напрямки роботи конференцiї: теорiя функцiй, обчислювальна математика та сумiж-
нi питання.
Спершу передбачалось, що основна форма участi у конференцiї буде очною. Однак у зв’язку
з росiйською воєнною агресiєю проти України було прийнято рiшення про проведення конфе-

ренцiї в режимi онлайн. Робота конференцiї проходила як у пленарному, так i секцiйному
режимах. Перед початком її роботи було надруковано збiрник тез доповiдей учасникiв.
На церемонiї вiдкриття конференцiї 6 червня 2022 року виступили: професори А. С. Ро-
манюк i А. В. Цьось, академiк НАН України О. М. Тимоха, член-кореспондент НАН України
I. О. Шевчук, доценти С. М. Яцюк i Н. I. Степанець та О. В. Степанець (онук О. I. Степанця).
Учасники конференцiї вшанували хвилиною мовчання загиблих внаслiдок росiйської збройної
агресiї проти України.

Також було прочитано 23 секцiйнi доповiдi.
Учасники конференцiї „Теорiя наближення функцiй та її застосування” оцiнили її високий
науковий та органiзацiйний рiвень.
