Он базируется на оснащении исходного пространства инвариантными подпространствами ультрагладких векторов заданного оператора и описании его спектральных свойств в топологических алгебрах, которые при этом возникают. Викладається один загальний спосіб побудови функцій від необмежених операторів, які діють в банахових просторах. Він базується на оснащенні вихідного простору інваріантними підпросторами ультрагладких векторів заданого оператора і опису його спектральних властивостей у топологічних алгебрах, що при цьому виникають.
