Рассматривается специальный случай общей конструкции HNN-расширения групп, когда хотя бы одна из связанных подгрупп совпадает с базовой группой. Найден критерий финитной аппроксимируемости группы, получаемой таким способом. Финитно аппроксимируемой будет произвольная группа, являющаяся таким расширением свободной нильпотентной группы конечного ранга.   Розглядається спеціальний випадок загальної конструкції HNN-розширення груп, якщо хоча б одна із зв’язаних підгруп співпадає з базовою групою. Знайдено критерій фінітної апроксимовності групи, що одержана таким способом. Фінітно апроксимовною буде будь-яка група, що є таким розширенням вільної нільпотентної групи скінченного рангу.
