On the problem of the Dieudonne completeness of the spaces of closed subspaces and subgroups

The completeness in the sense of Dieudonné of the space $2^X$ of closed subsets in the Vietoris topology of Lindelöf or a paracompact strongly zero-dimensional space $X$ is proved. Questions related to this result are discussed.
