Показано, що така поведінка є наслідком нелінійного закону взаємодії між парою абстрактних опонентів. Головним фактором виникнення хаосу є вплив параметра зовнішньої підтримки, що надається мінімальному елементу системи. Властивості хаотичної поведінки проілюстровано графічно.
